The Tripawd Dog of Many Jobs

Wyatt the three legged German Shepherd looks for jobs around Lake City Colorado.

Every dog likes me needs something to do. And when my people are away at work all day long, I have to find something to do. Monitoring squirrels just isn’t doing it for me anymore. So the other day, I saw that Mom left a package out. It looked suspicious so I had to inspect it, just like those dogs in the airport and stuff.

“Is there anything hazardous, perishable, liquid, fragile or lithium batteries inside?”

Whew! Good thing there was nothing dangerous inside.

It wasn’t too long after that when Mom and Dad said they wanted to go see some stars on their day off. That part I didn’t mind, but what made me crazy was they wanted to sleep outside. On. The. Ground!

“You want me to sleep WHERE?”

The stars were very pretty but it was so cold. They said something about we were at eleven thousand feet altitude. No wonder I felt a little weird while we camped. I was glad to go home and sleep on my couch again.

My most recent job was as a tour guide. We went to town and they have a river there.

“Come on people, use your nose to find your way!”

Well, apparently people get lost all the time along that river. There are signs everywhere telling them where to go. Don’t they know all they have to do is pay attention?

That’s OK though, I was hoppy to show humans the way to town.

Now I’m waiting to hear back from the fire department. I applied for a job ’cause I saw their fire station dog does absolutely nothing all day long. Lazy dawg!

I’ll let you know if I get to put on the uniform. Stay tuned!

  1. WYATT!!! WYATT!!! WYATT!!!! I know post is no laughing matter…to you! But to us…oh yeah, we’re laughing our a**es off!! 🙂

I know it must be so frustrating dealing with all of us inept humans! You have to keep us in line all the time, especially those humans labeled “tourists”!

It’s probably not a good idea to be opening up packages that aren’t addressed to you. There could be so many scary things that no doggy should ever have to see!

WOW! You need to revisit how lucky you are to sleep under the stars and be in nature! That’s something very special! Of course, if you could sleep out there on your sofa that would be much better!

We needed smiles nere roday Wyatt! You did not disappoint! 🙂 You sitting next to that lazy fire dog…PRICELESS!! 🙂

    Lots of love to all!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

PS….Not sure how you do it Wyatt, but you do seem to get more strikingly handsome as you “mature”!

  2. I love to hear about your adventures. <3 <3 <3. Yeah I am not so sure that I would want to sleep out on the ground either but it looks like your mom & dad had a tent and comfy cots.

As for that package you better be careful you just never know when there is something in there that isn't good for you Mr Wyatt.

Thank you for being our tour guide and showing us the beautiful area that you are living in right now. 🙂

    xoxoxo
