Our Tripawd is One Year Gone And Impossible to Forget

Our Tripawd Wyatt Ray is one year gone, and impossible to forget all of his wild antics, loud bark, and good times we shared in twelve years.

Tripawd is gone

There’s a lot that can happen in a year. 2020 got off to a ruff start for everyone. We had no idea about the heartache it had in store for us. And now, our Tripawd is one year gone and impossible to forget.

Wyatt Ray Had a Lot to Say, and Always Will

Twelve years went by in a flash. We traveled a long way together.

We still find it hard to believe that this dog who tested our patience but never our love, is no longer laying next us while we work.

Or riding in the back of the truck while we roam.

He was always ready to work.

Or make us laugh like the big goofball that he was.

He only had three, but Wyatt always wanted to lend a paw. Like last August, he seemed to know that his granddad was getting ready to move on, and spent a lot of time by his side.

Β Maybe Wyatt sensed that by the end of the year, those two snarky old dudes would be together forever.

Some people worry they will forget how their Tripawd sounds, or felt. I’m pretty sure we won’t ever. Nor will the neighborhood dogs he visited last year while we stayed with his grandpawrents.

Long live Wyatt Ray Dawg. There will never be another one like him.

  1. I was so honored to get to meet Wyatt several times and even have Brunch with him and his pawrents when they stopped in my home town. I can’t believe it has been a year. A year in which a lot happened and one that we will never forget. Keep looking down on your pawrents Wyatt and send them some signs that you are around. Hey while you are at it you and Jerry put your minds together and find them another spokesdawg. I know no on will ever compare to either of you but the need some dawg in their life.

  2. Oh Wyatt, Wyatt, Wyatt! You and Luna certainly had some great discussions. There defi seemed to be a contest as to who could get the last woof word! I think Luna finally learned you are the champion of non stop woof speak!

Loved looking at the pictures. It’s always a good reminder that we really have no reason to be sad when we revisit what a happy and well loved dog you are. But we’re still evolving hoomans and find it hard to grasp sometimes that you are always with us.

I know you and your Grandpa were plotting about the reunion you would soon have. I know you brought him comfort here and now at the Bridge. I know he was one of the first ones to greet you upon your arrival and that made you voth so happy.

BTW, you really mastered the art of balance while practicing on three. Kind of a metaphor for the way you brought balance into the lives of your hoomans. You kept them on their toes and taught them to embrace all of your unexpected antics with light hearted…”Ohhhh Wyatt, what have you done now?” Fun is always needed for balance, right?

Wyatt Ray..one of a kind never to be replicated. You have impacted us in such a life affirming all as we learned your lessons and as we watched you be such a Goodwill Ambassador for Tripawds everywhere. You gave it your all sweet boy and your “all” will stay with ise furever

AMD yes, we cannot wait to see who you jave picked out for your hoomans. They think they are making the decision……hahahaha. we know you and Jerry have already made it! Hurry! We can’t wait to see what you’ve picked out!!!

  4. Love you forever Wyatt Ray Dawg! You are one in a million fur sure! I know your peeps are sad but I am here to tell ’em we are having SUCH a good time over the Bridge! Have you told ’em you are THIS close to earning your Master Shepherd Title? Sheriff, Sheepherder, whats next my dude? I know you are crazy busy but don’t forget to visit your Maw and Paw in their dreams tonight, ‘K?

  5. Oh Wyatt! We do all miss you, your hoomans most of all without a doubt. So good to see your smiling, goofy face. I can’t even imagine what the Bridge is like with you there – one helluva a party, that’s for sure.
Can’t wait to see who you and Jerry have picked out for our next spokesdawg – those are some big pawprints to fill. I know you will find the best doggo for your peeps. Maybe they’ll be ready for thier next chapter soon(ish?).
Love to all, angelversaries are hard…

  6. Teri you are so sweeet, thank you for the love and thoughtful words about our wild boy. Yeah, things got REAL loud when he arrived at the Bridge! He’s been so busy he hasn’t had time to work with Jerry to find that next k9 co-pilot of ours. Maybe Isa can give him a nudge? He was always a sucker for beautiful girldogs.

    Love to you back!

  7. Sally, I’ve got tears in my eyes darnit! You write so beautifully, your bright loving spirit just shines through every word. Thank you.

And you made me laugh too, especially about that Luna comment. Yep, she and Wyatt had quite a few standdowns but she always let him win.

You are so right. Balance is what he taught us, that’s a really good analogy. I never thought of him like that but it’s so true!

    Much love my friend.

  8. Michelle, seeing you on that road trip was so fun, we will never forget it. I’m so glad you got to hang out with him more than once.

Time flies, but our fur kids always stay close in one way or another. Thanks for the love.

  9. I cannot believe it has been a year, just don’t know where the time goes anymore. Time flies yet life seems to be in ‘waiting’ mode. I know things must be too quiet now. Wyatt had a lot to say and was always in the middle of something πŸ’– The photos and videos are treasures that will always stay close to the heart. Wyatt kept you guys on your toes in so many ways… from the latest information on things that help keep tripawds their best selves to outwitting you with his *cough* new finds that his tummy didn’t enjoy nearly as much as he did at the moment. I bet he is having a huge “bow wow” up there in the clouds plotting a path to a pup that will need your love.
Sending so many hugs your way and keeping you in my thoughts πŸ’–
    Jackie and Huck
