Paws Up to My Tripawd Friends

Three legged Wyatt Ray Dawg parties in Longmont Colorado dog park.

Hey what a great Tripawds pawty we had on Sunday!

There’s nothing so cool as seeing a dog park taken over by we Tripawds. One by one, my pals just kept coming through the gates. It was like a long-lost family reunion. We had so much fun! Four hours of straight play. Man, all of us were completely pooped by the end of the day. Can you imagine? Four hours in a dog park? Crazy!

We even had some reporters there who wrote about the pawty. Check out this link from the Longmont Times-Call newspaper.

Hopefully all you Tripawds out there will throw one of your own pawties in your neck of the woods, so you can become a celebrity in your town too!

Home, Home on the Range

Three legged German Shepherd Wyatt Ray Dawg finds forever home with Tripawds founders Jim Nelson and Rene Agredano

Well, you probably heard the news by now . . . I have a new home!

Thanks to my awesome foster family, Codie Rae, Smokey, Martha and Ralph, I am now living in the mountains of Colorado. No more being tied to a rope in a crummy backyard, no more mean people who ignore me all day, no more city life for me. Green acres, here I come.

Or rather, “Jerry’s Acres,” here I am!

My new pawrents, Jim and Rene, are the two big Tripawd lovers who run a website for three legged dogs just like me. Since their furbaby Jerry passed away last year, they’ve really missed having dog love around (hah, you think they miss the dog hair too?). When they heard that I was in need of a forever home, they drove 1500 miles just to meet me. There I was, scrappy, skinny and just a few weeks after amputation, but they really seemed to think I was something special. That night at dinner with my pack, they signed some papers and made it official: we are now a family!

I’m so hoppy to be here with them on Jerry’s land. I’ve never smelled so many cool things. Stuff like pine trees and flowers. Oh and sage, lots of sage. And today I even got to bark at my first deer! It’s all so much fun here. I get all worn out by the end of the day, there’s so much to check out. I’m going to leave my mark all over the place!

The best part is, I get to travel in the RV with my new pawrents. Apparently they are going to take their other house out for a few months each year, to show people how awesome three legged dogs like me really are! I’m so excited I get to see the country just like my hero Jerry did. Next week, we are going back to the ranch where they worked last year. I can’t wait to go!

Whew, that’s it for now. I need to build up my strength so I can run around these crazy mountains some more!
