My First Birthday at the Bridge

Tripawds Spokesdog Wyatt Ray Dawg ponders the concept of time on his first birthday at the Rainbow Bridge.

Tripawd's First birthday at the Bridge

Hey everyone, bet you didn’t think you’d hear from me again huh? Well, after all these years you should know I can’t keep quiet very long. Especially because today is my first birthday at the Bridge!

Wyatt Ray
My furiend Holly made this card for my mom, isn’t it great?

Oh wait, I’m not one years old. In human years, I would have turned twelve today. At least we think today is that day, it’s all just a big guess. But really who cares? A number is just a number and that date or number of years really doesn’t matter to me. I’m just happy that I got a chance to wear my earth clothes for the time that I did!

My mom is sad today and I wish she would see things my way. There’s something about marking time that gets you humans all worked up. But you know, guys, that dogs and cats don’t keep calendars. We really don’t care how many months, years, or days have gone by.

All that matters to us is that each day is spent doing something we love, with the pack mates we care about most. Now, are you doing that today? I sure hope so. Because if you were wondering what to get me for a birthday present, that’s all I want; for you humans to Be More Dog and learn to live every day to the max. Got it? Good!

Over and out.

Yours truly,

Tripawd's First birthday at the Bridge
Listen closely, I am never far.

  1. Oh! Wyatt!! Sooo good to hear from you! Bless your pointed snout!! Love you sooo much and pleeeaase watch out for Thurston. I’m sure you 2 have found one another and are having lots of fun watching us Hoomans try to get along without you guys. Tell Thurston, “Da mama loves da puppy sooooo much!” Sloppy kisses to you both!

  2. Wyatt was my inspiration when my dog Tucker lost his leg! Tucker crossed the bridge two years ago at the ripe old age of 14. Thanks for all you did for me Wyatt and Renee and Jim.
Keeping you in my thoughts on this difficult day

  3. Hoppy Birthday at the Bridge Wyatt. The firsts are always the hardest for us humans. This is still all so new to your pawrents with you being gone. They miss you a lot so its normal for your mom to be a little down and sad today.
    We are all missing you.

hugs and hope you are having a huge party up at the bridge

  4. Well, well, well , Mr. Deputy In Charge at The Rainbow Bridge, of course we knew we would hear from you again!!! Your presence (and voice) still loom large here. ALWAYS will, but you know that.

As hoomans though, we feel a void , a deep loss, without your “physical” presence. We know YOU dont feel it because you know you are always connected, always “present”. Yeah, you’ve left your pawprint in every piece of earth you have touched in. Nature. You have embedded your voice in the swish of the wind to be heard furever.. Your hoomans will hear it. They will touch the same earth you have touched and wade in the same lakes you enjoyed swimming after sticks.
No, time as guaged by hoomans is such a limitation to our understanding of the enlightenment you embrace. No limits for you, just an all knowing that everything in your earth life and in your Spirit life continues on past time and space.
So glad you let your hoomans take so many pictures and videos of your earth life. They are such smile makers AND such a testament to a hapoy, loved dog full of joy and lots of mischief!! And goodness knows you loved plotting ways to keep your hoomans on their toes!

So Wyatt, we celebrate your earth birth day….and day that is o gojng and never ending. Enjoy your limitless birthday cake AND ice cream and dish towels and pies, etc, etc.
    With love
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

  5. Sally, I think you were a dog in another life, you are truly enlightened like we are. I do plan on continuing to be present in everything my people do, and everything that you, and the Tripawds heroes who join us do in life. Look out, I’m always around.
