Wyatt Ray Dawg experiences Totally Tripawd Totality when goes to Wyoming to see the 2017 Solar Eclipse.
I’m an active dawg, but the other day my humans woke me up way too early. It was still dark out and they made me get into the truck. We hadn’t done that for a while since we got to Colorado in June.
So we drive and drive and I keep hearing the humans talk about the clips. I’m like “What clips dude?” but they just kept going on. And driving. And finally we stop by the side of a road and there’s all these people hanging out. They’ve got chairs and big technical things pointed at the sky. “Ok whatever” I say. “There goes my crazy people again.”
My people did the same as the other humans. They put out their chairs, did some stuff on their devices, talked, ate and seemed to be waiting for something to happen. I had no idea what they were up to until a few minutes later, this happened:
“WOW! WHEEEE!” Duuuuuude! Things went from morning to night . . . and the back again!
That was worth getting up early for, don’t you think?
If you’re in Las Vegas come meet Tripawds Spokesdog Wyatt Ray at the Western Veterinary Conference 2017.
It ain’t easy being the Tripawds Spokesdog. On Friday my folks thought that it would be good to celebrate Tri Day by giving me a bath! What the …?
Oh wait. I know why they did it. Because they want me all spiffy for the Western Veterinary Conference we’re doing this week in Lost Vegas. Yeah I get to be a dancin’ poodle all week, struttin’ my stuff and showing vets what Tripawds can do.
Being a spokesdog at a conference is hard. The place where we stay has nowhere for a dog to have fun. Show days are long too, but the vets make it easy. After all, who better to come up and pet me all day long than humans who totally GET dogs like me? They’re my kinda peeps.
If you’re in Las Vegas between March 5 and 9th, come see me at WVC!
Guess what Tripawd Spokesdog Wyatt Ray has been up to? Yep! He’s road tripping all over the southwest this winter. Catch up with his Nevada, California and Arizona travels.
Maybe it’s all the sugar I ate on pie day, but the days are flying by so fast now! After Thanksgiving my dad put his foot on the gas and got us rolling along to our next adventure.
First we went to the Colorado River. It was the first time I ran on the beach without a leash in FOREVER! Wheee! Too bad it was so cold ’cause Mom and Dad say they would have stayed longer. They’re not tough like me, they like warm weather. Me? I’d rather be mushing with my sled dog pals. Like that’ll ever happen!
So away we went to Southern California, where it got a little sunnier and warmer. If you’re wondering what a sunny, warm Christmas is like, well here ya go folks. Don’t get jealous though. There’s no rest for the weary here. Mom and Dad work all day, and they make me do my workouts too! See?
Do you like my paw-stand? Mom says it’s good for me to know how to balance like this. She thinks it’ll help me stay strong. I’m not sure how. Whatever though. At least I get treats.
As you know, Santa rolled around last month at my grand pawrents house. And he even left gifts for ME! After all the stunts I pulled last year, Mom says Santa decided I was a good boy and paid me a little visit. I got some treats and a fun game you’ll read more about later.
The day wore me out. I don’t know how I survived all the wrapping paper explosions. But I was SO good, I didn’t even grab cookies off the table!
And now we’re back to normal around here. Well, as normal as a pack who lives in a doghouse on wheels can get. Next up, we’re headed back to Arizona. My people tell me that in spring we’ll eventually get to Jerry’s Acres in Colorado, where we’ll spend the WHOLE SUMMER chasing skwirels! Maybe the snow will wait for me. I miss it.
Till next time, keep warm (it’s cold out there!). See ya on down the road peoples!
See how the German Shepherd Tripawd Spokesdog Wyatt Ray sees his bride and meets a long-time Tripawds Mom, Penny, in Northern California.
Me and my crazy life. My people took our rolling doghouse away from Colorado, but that’s OK. California ain’t so bad. At least the places we like to go!
Then my buddies, the Oaktown Pack let me chill in their crib while Moms and Pops went to see some family. Apparently these peole have a “show dog” who doesn’t get to wrassle with us street dawgs. Poor dawg.
And finally, the best part? I got to meet Pawesome Penny! She’s a big Tripawds fan for a long time now, because she Mom to Spirit Maggie, Blink, Hank and Petunia the horse! She lives near our campsite and made the trip to come see us last week. I really like her. She totally understood where I’m coming from.
Mom and Dad used to think that maybe moving around so much wasn’t too good for me. They thought it stressed me out. How funny huh? I’m like, how can anyone be stressed when you get to do this?!
Wyatt the three legged German Shepherd looks for jobs around Lake City Colorado.
Every dog likes me needs something to do. And when my people are away at work all day long, I have to find something to do. Monitoring squirrels just isn’t doing it for me anymore. So the other day, I saw that Mom left a package out. It looked suspicious so I had to inspect it, just like those dogs in the airport and stuff.

Whew! Good thing there was nothing dangerous inside.
It wasn’t too long after that when Mom and Dad said they wanted to go see some stars on their day off. That part I didn’t mind, but what made me crazy was they wanted to sleep outside. On. The. Ground!
Ranger Dawg Patrols the Peaks
The stars were very pretty but it was so cold. They said something about we were at eleven thousand feet altitude. No wonder I felt a little weird while we camped. I was glad to go home and sleep on my couch again.
My most recent job was as a tour guide. We went to town and they have a river there.
K9 Tour Guide leads the way.
Well, apparently people get lost all the time along that river. There are signs everywhere telling them where to go. Don’t they know all they have to do is pay attention?
That’s OK though, I was hoppy to show humans the way to town.
Now I’m waiting to hear back from the fire department. I applied for a job ’cause I saw their fire station dog does absolutely nothing all day long. Lazy dawg!

I’ll let you know if I get to put on the uniform. Stay tuned!
