When the Humans Are Away . . .

Three legged German Shepherd Wyatt Ray stays home alone without the crate for the first time.

The German Shepherds play. Or at least I will, all by myself!

Today Mom and Dad left me all alone in the house, without locking me in the big ugly cage! Can you believe it? First time EVER, for that long.

They’ve been messing with my head lately, leaving me all alone in the house for a few  minutes each time, but today was the real deal.

When they left this morning, I heard Mom say she “thinks” they can trust me alone for a couple of hours. I don’t know why she was so worried!

They were gone all morning and when they came back at lunch, there I was waiting for them, being my usual charming self.

I didn’t eat anything I shouldn’t have, chew on anypawdy’s shoes or scratch at the door. All I did was dance on the couch for a little bit, which tired me out so I slept. When I woke up, I heard them in the driveway.

“You’re a big boy now, Wyatt!” Mom sez to me. “You’re all growed up!”

Really? Me?

No more crate? No way!

Let’s pawty!

Back on Patrol

Three legged German Shepherd Wyatt Ray recovers from major surgery and foreign matter material invasion in his leg.

Hey Moose? Hey Skwirl? Guess what?

I’m back!

Yeah  you heard me.

No more stitches, no more pills.

No more bandages or bland meals.

Now there’s just vet bills! Hahaha!

The doctors say there’s no more “foreign matter” in my leg.

How did those foreigners get in my leg anyhow?

Now, my life is back to normal and I’m ready to kick some butt!

Are you ready?

Wyatt Houdini Ray Strikes Again

Three legged German Shepherd magic dog Wyatt shows how to make crate covers disappear.

The life of a magician is never an easy one. You’re always lookin’ for a way to top the last magic trick, keep that audience impressed, you know?

Well, I think I gave my pawrents the surprise of their life the other night!

They locked me up in my crate because they went to hang out with friends who had some dogs that were talkin’ trash about me (Ok, maybe I started it, but still….).

So there they go, thinking that the crate locks and four zip ties could keep me from my magic trick show. HA! I fooled them.

The Great Crate Escape

Behold!

On top of my crate, you will see a cover.

Mom sewed it herself.  It’s supposed to make me feel safe and calm. That’s what those dumb humans think anyways. She puts the front of the cover down whenever they leave me all alone.

Now, look carefully at the next picture.

 WAH! LAH!

Wyatt Houdini Ray has made the crate cover disappear!

And everything that was sitting on top of my crate too!

(Ok, I”ll let you in on a little secret. The cover, and the shopping bags, are inside my crate.)

Silly humans, they still have no clue as to how I managed to pull all of this inside, without opening the crate or bending the bars (of which I am totally capable of doing but was just too lazy to try that night).

Sheesh, when will they learn that I, Wyatt Houdini Ray Dawg, am smarter than they are? And I am perfectly capable of entertaining myself while they are away.

Do I entertain you?

Big Bulldozin’ Buddies

Giant Spanish Mastiff puppy Titus plays with three legged German Shepherd Dog Wyatt at Fort Collins Fossil Creek Dog Park.

When I see a little dawg, I want to shake it like a toy. But when I see a Big Dawg, it’s time to bring out the wrasslin’ mat!

My friend Titus and I love to wrassle. Back in Colorado, we had a lot of fun at the dog park.

Nobody can play like Titus. He’s kinda like a big bulldozer, moving everypawdy around all nice and easy like. He’s a cool dawg.

Mom keeps tellin’ Dad that I need a buddy like Titus. But Dad says “Oh yeah, where’s he gonna fit?”

There’s only room for my crate in the RV, so if I got a brother, then I guess that means the crate would have to go, right?

If I had a brother, I would be a good dawg, I promise! And we could have fun alllll day long, like the way me, Titus and Hammy did back in Colorado!
