Snow What!

Three legged German Shepherd Wyatt plays snow ball in Red Feather Lakes Colorado.

“Snow AGAIN?” Mom says.

It’s a big deal kind of weekend. There are lots of people showing up in doghouses on wheels even though it’s cold and snowy.

Mom says “Oh my DOG they must be freezing!”

I’m not sure why she thinks it’s so bad. I’m having a great time!

There should be snow all year long here in Colorado, don’t you think?

It makes everything smell so good.

Come up and play snowball with me!

Big Bulldozin’ Buddies

Giant Spanish Mastiff puppy Titus plays with three legged German Shepherd Dog Wyatt at Fort Collins Fossil Creek Dog Park.

When I see a little dawg, I want to shake it like a toy. But when I see a Big Dawg, it’s time to bring out the wrasslin’ mat!

My friend Titus and I love to wrassle. Back in Colorado, we had a lot of fun at the dog park.

Nobody can play like Titus. He’s kinda like a big bulldozer, moving everypawdy around all nice and easy like. He’s a cool dawg.

Mom keeps tellin’ Dad that I need a buddy like Titus. But Dad says “Oh yeah, where’s he gonna fit?”

There’s only room for my crate in the RV, so if I got a brother, then I guess that means the crate would have to go, right?

If I had a brother, I would be a good dawg, I promise! And we could have fun alllll day long, like the way me, Titus and Hammy did back in Colorado!

My Great Adventure, Colorado to Idaho, Part 1

Three legged Tripawds Spokesdawg Wyatt takes a road trip to meet other tripod dogs from Colorado to Washington and beyond.

With all these miles behind us, now we are in this dark rainy place called Oregon, I’ve been too busy barking my way down the highway to stop and tell you about my adventures, so here goes.

Colorado

When we were in Colorado, I got to hang with Calprunia, queen of the Tundra and her Odaroloc Sled Team.

Cali, being the Queen, and 15 years old and all, supervised while me and the team ran laps around her estate.

I never get to run like that! Let me tell you, those guys can run!

I thought Calpurnia was so beautiful. She never said anything, but all of her power was in those eyes of hers.

I think I’m in love with an older woman.

A Legend Meets a Legend

Later, I got to hang with this old dude named Eisen.

Mom and Dad were mad because I tried to get him to play by barking and running circles around him, but he would have none of it.

He just tried to play it off like he was some cool dude who didn’t like getting dirty or something.

Mom said I was disrespectful. After all, Eisen is a 12 year old living legend (like me, right?) and he has lived with osteosarcoma for almost three years now. Oh and Spirit Jerry got to play with him too, so they thought I had to be nice.

That Jerry, always messin’ things up for me. Blah blah blah.

OK OK, I get it, he’s a hero.

But he still didn’t want to play with me, so I was mad.

Going West!

After Eisen and Calpurnia, we went to New Mexico, Arizona Utah and Colorado all in one day. Apparently this marker thing was something very important and showed exactly where I was, so Mom and Dad made me sit on it.

Then it was hours, and hours of driving, and more driving. I don’t know how Dad does that. Mom just sits there with yarn and these sticks of some sort, moving them around.

When I wasn’t asleep I was at truck stops and gas stations, saying hello (“BARK!”) to everypawdy to announce my arrival.

Crossing the Snake River

After a while, we got to this place called IDAHO….

No, YOU DA HO!

hahahaha! I kill myself!

And with that note, I’ll paws for now and save my best stories for next time, when I got to meet the one, the only, James the Poodle! (Who I was very, very good around!).

Six States, Four Corners, a Million Miles to the Sea

Three legged Wyatt Ray tours the four corners and Pacific Northwest.

We hit the road last week and we’ve been all over the place, driving, driving, driving. Sleeping in the doghouse on wheels in strange places, and doing potty runs in truck stops and shopping malls!

A week ago I was in Colorado, then we went to Arizona, New Mexico Utah, then Idaho, and now, Washington.

In the desert, I got to sit on this thing that was apparently a big deal because it was where four states come together, and is the only place in the whole country where this happens.

Mom keeps saying I’m growing up. I’m not whining like I used to whenever we stop somewhere, and I sleep all day when we’re driving around. Mom still says I have to work on my overly excited way at greeting other dawgs though.

Those trucker dawgs sure look at me funny when I bark my head off!

An Agile Afternoon

Three legged amputee German Shepherd Wyatt tries agility course in Colorado.

Tripawd Maggie is my inspawration.

I’ve been watching her videos and thinking, “Hey, if she can do agility, so can I!”

Not that I know anything about it, but I got to mess with some agility stuff at a dog parade a while back and it was kinda fun!

So what if I couldn’t do the narrow balance beam thing, I tore up the rest of the course!

I might not get any points for poise, but who cares?

All that matters is that Tripawds like us get out there and show the world that we can do just about anything those funny looking quadpawds can do!

Come on Tripawds, are you with me?
