See Wyatt Run.

My pawrents just heard that it is -12 degrees in Fernley, Nevada and that it snowed a couple feet there the other day. I sure liked playing in the snow at home, but for staying at an RV Park, that’s ridiculous! I’m sure glad we left when we did.

Here’s another little movie my people of me running when we were still there. Note the lack of ice on the ground!

Flying Away from Fernley, on to California

Three legged RV road dog Wyatt Ray gets ready to hit the road to California and meet Northern California Bay Area Tripawds.

Just when I found something fun to do in Fernley, it was time to go. Such is the life of a Road Dawg.

Big Eater, Little Kitchen

Three legged Tripawd mascott Wyatt Ray Dawg wonders why his Mom cooks his dog food in the RV kitchen.

Mom says that we went from an 18 cubic foot refrigerator to a 10 cubic foot one, when we moved into the Dog House on Wheels. Our stove is a lot smaller too she says.

I’m not sure what that means. All I know is that she cooks more for me, like every two days! And it makes me craaaaaazy when I smell it on the stove. She can’t understand why I drool and beg and whine and shake whenever that stuff is cookin’. She’s a great cook!

Mom says she’s thinking about buying me kibble, because she’s mad that she can’t put ice cream or frozen shrimp in the little freezer. She says my food takes up all the space! I say, “so what?!”

When we leave the Desert Rose and head to the big city, it’s kibble for me I guess, or at least until we get back to Colorado. Personally, I don’t care what I eat. I love ANY food. Mom doesn’t have to work so hard. I’ll eat polyfill stuffing from my Barney if she lets me.

With Thanks to Foster Families Everywhere, Especially Mine

Three legged German Shepherd Wyatt Ray Dawg says Thank You to German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California and his Oakland CA foster family.

Well, I guess you could say that me, my Mom and Dad are very grateful, and thankful to have this special girldog in our lives, Miss Codie Rae.

Last year at this time, I was still a star in the sky, yet to be born into guard dog slavery on the end of a rope. And as for my Mom and Dad, they were pretty sad, since Jerry had just gone on to the Bridge.

Now look at us, we are all one big hoppy family! Well, most of the time. Ok, when I’m a good dawg, which, if you ask my Dad, isn’t as much as he wants but I’m trying sooooo hard! He knows that, I think.

Anyhow, if it wasn’t for German Shepherd Rescue of Northern CaliforniaMiss Codie Rae, Smokey and her pawrents Martha and Ralph, who knows where I’d be at this very moment?

Thank you Codie Rae, Smokey, Martha and Ralph! This is the Best. Thanksgiving. Ever.

Because my pawrents adopted me, now Travis Ray has a chance at a good home too. At least he’s with my foster family right now, I bet he’s pretty happy about that.

My Mom just posted about him in a new German Shepherd Discussion Forums group. Let’s all keep our paws crossed that next Thanksgiving, Travis Ray is writing a blog post just like this one!

Puppy Love at the Farmer’s Market

Three legged German Shepherd dog Wyatt plays with other dogs at the Fort Collins Colorado Farmers Market.

I’m a mountain mutt, and I like it that way. I run in the woods with my parents, stalk moose and deer, and chomp on pine tree sticks in my back yard.

But Mom and Dad think that I need to get out more, so wherever they go, I go along for the ride. This is a video of me hanging out at the Fort Collins Farmer’s Market. I met this cool pup about my age, who wanted to wrestle. Even though he was like a third my size, I said “sure, why not?!”

As you can see, I was pretty nice to him. He was a cool dog though, hope I get to see him again.
